Support the growth of men’s gymnastics
Kurt Thomas Foundation hopes to expose youth to the power they possess to reach their highest potential and help empower them to make a difference.
I just wanted to take a moment to extend my deepest gratitude for the incredible evening you created and the profound honor of being selected as a recipient of the Kurt Thomas Scholarship. It was a night that Zachary and I will never forget — filled with emotion, pride, and a deep sense of connection to something truly meaningful. From the heartfelt tributes to the inspiring legacy of Kurt Thomas, every detail of the evening reflected your unwavering dedication to supporting and uplifting young athletes. The care and passion you pour into this foundation not only honors Kurt’s memory but also changes lives — including ours. As a parent, there’s nothing more moving than watching your child be recognized and supported for their hard work, character, and dreams. This scholarship is so much more than financial support — it’s a symbol of belief in Zachary’s journey, and a reminder that he’s part of a community that sees and values his efforts. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the opportunity, the generosity, and the beautiful celebration. We are truly honored to be part of the Kurt Thomas Foundation family. With heartfelt appreciation,
Deanna Myers
(on behalf of Zachary and our entire family)

Caden Clinton ( 2023 Scholarship Winner )
Caden is fully settled now at Nebraska University. Competing for his college team is to compete for something bigger than himself. Caden says that he is still in awe of how gymnastics is so much more than just a sport but how it is something that has built a tight knit community. It’s a place where his teammates became his brothers, and where we as boys became men." I am still beyond grateful for the opportunity I have had to represent and hope to carry out the legacy of Kurt Thomas! I hope to lead by example here at Nebraska these next few years through my gymnastics but more importantly through my actions and attitude in hopes to represent passion and integrity in and outside the gym, just like Kurt Thomas did. "

Nico Maccario ( 2024 Scholarship Winner )
After an exhausting competition season traveling from Tennessee to Chicago to Houston to Atlanta, etc Nico has finally regained all his strength and built on his foundation of skills to gain the upgrades he needs in order to be competitive at the national and international level as a first year level 10 athlete. He is preparing for upcoming nationals in Utah and hopes to make it to US Champs for the first time (he is finally old enough). He has some exciting dismounts that set him apart from the group and hopes to continue to use his upbeat personality to be the “hype” man for his team.

Zachary Myers ( 2025 Scholarship Winner )
